1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using HANDIS DRIVE rental services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Rental Requirements

To rent a vehicle from HANDIS DRIVE, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 for luxury vehicles)
• Hold a valid driver's license for at least 2 years
• Provide a valid form of payment (credit card or approved method)
• Present valid identification documents
• Sign the rental agreement and acknowledge all terms and conditions

3. Payment Terms

Rental fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. The following payment terms apply:

• Monthly rental payments must be paid on or before the rented date each month
• Key money (security deposit) is required and will be refunded upon return of the vehicle in good condition
• Additional charges may apply for excess mileage, late returns, fuel, tolls, and traffic violations
• Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, credit card
• Late payment fees of 5% per week may be charged for overdue payments

4. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

You agree to:

• Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes and in accordance with Sri Lankan traffic laws
• Not exceed the monthly mileage limit specified in your rental agreement
• Not use the vehicle for racing or any illegal activities
• Not allow any unauthorized person to drive the vehicle
• Not sublet or lend the vehicle to any third party without written permission
• Keep the vehicle locked when unattended and maintain proper security
• Not drive the vehicle outside of Sri Lanka without prior written consent

5. Insurance and Liability

Basic insurance coverage is included with all rentals. However:

• You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle not covered by insurance
• A damage excess (deductible) may apply to insurance claims
• You are liable for all traffic violations, fines, and penalties incurred during the rental period
• You must report any accidents or damage to HANDIS DRIVE and local authorities immediately
• Insurance does not cover damage caused by negligence, driving under the influence, or unauthorized use

6. Maintenance and Repairs

HANDIS DRIVE is responsible for routine maintenance of the vehicle. You agree to:

• Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately to HANDIS DRIVE
• Not attempt repairs or modifications without written permission
• Maintain proper fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake fluid) and tire pressure
• Follow the maintenance schedule provided with the vehicle
• Allow HANDIS DRIVE access to the vehicle for scheduled maintenance

7. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before rental start date: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
• Cancellations made 3-6 days before: 50% refund of advance payment
• Cancellations made less than 3 days before: No refund of advance payment
• HANDIS DRIVE reserves the right to cancel bookings in exceptional circumstances

8. Return of Vehicle

Upon return of the vehicle, you must:

• Return the vehicle at the agreed date and time
• Return the vehicle in the same condition as received (normal wear and tear excepted)
• Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pickup (or pay refueling charges)
• Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle
• Hand over all keys, documents, and accessories provided at pickup

9. Damage and Loss

You are responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle during the rental period:

• Minor damage: You will be charged for repair costs up to the insurance excess
• Major damage: Insurance will cover costs above the excess amount
• Loss of keys: Replacement cost plus any associated charges
• Total loss or theft: You may be liable for the vehicle's full value if insurance does not cover

10. Termination

HANDIS DRIVE reserves the right to terminate the rental and repossess the vehicle if:

• Payment is not made on time
• The vehicle is used in violation of these terms
• The vehicle is abandoned or not returned on time
• You provide false information or misrepresent your identity
• The vehicle is used for illegal activities or is endangered

11. Limitation of Liability

HANDIS DRIVE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the vehicle, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or personal injury not covered by insurance.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

13. Changes to Terms

HANDIS DRIVE reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
